Professor Hyochoong Bang

Prof. Hyochoong Bang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in aeronautical engineering from Seoul National University in 1985 and 1987, respectively. He also received Ph.D. degree in 1992 from Texas A&M University. From 1992 to 1994, he worked as a research assistant professor at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. He used to work for Korea Aerospace Research Institute between 1992 and 1994 on mission support and attitude control research for the geostationary satellites series of Korea. Currently, he is director of Space Exploration Engineering, a multi-disciplinary education program at KAIST(Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology). He is principal investigator for flight software design of STSAT-3, which is under final development phase. He is also leading a graduate student Cubesat team. Contact: hcbang(at)kaist.ac.kr |
